It’s been nearly one year since my last school dance. I’ve gone to a high school dance now each year for about the past seven, and I love it every time. It’s amazing to me that I only began attending dances after graduating high school myself. I’ve been getting invited in as a performing songwriter, of course, and this year, to my great delight, is no different. Yes, I’ve been asked back to Glenbard East in Lombard, IL.

The best part about playing this venue is that I also get to coordinate student performances for the evening. I love hearing some of the best talent that East has to offer, and we get a lot of submissions in various performing arts: spoken word, stand-up, guitar, piano, etc.

I’m looking forward to another great night, and can’t wait to hear some of these young, talented, men and women!
