Fundraising for Next Album

I’m looking forward to beginning the recording process for my next studio record. I have a catalog of new songs almost ready to go, and I know this will be my best work yet. But I need your help to make it happen. Please head over to my webstore and make a donation towards my next album. I’ll be offering all sorts of cool things to all of my donors. More Time in The Dragon Room

Over the next 6-8 weeks, I will be spending a lot more time in The Dragon Room (my recording lair in Lombard, IL). Rumor has it that I’m recording bands and solo artists for free (read about it HERE) AND people say I’m working on a top-secret electronic album. I can neither confirm nor deny this preposterous accusation. Also, if it’s top secret, you’ll probably never hear about it again on this site.

 

GE Homecoming Show a Success

Thanks everyone for making the 2011 Homecoming Dance at Glenbard East High School a special event for me this year! I’m so happy to have made so many new friends, and I hope you’ll choose to join me in the coming months on my musical journey. Thank you, Scott DuBose, for performing with me, and to special guests The Two Hearts (Tim and Rachel). Fantastic work everyone.

Thank you all who signed up on my mailing list or filled out one of those raffle forms. As promised, I’ll be sending along an email to everybody to download my newest record, Fundamental. And, I’m going to give you a little something else, too. Surprise, surprise!

Welcome to the NEW jaymathes.com! I’ve been working tirelessly on this puppy for 72 hours (no, not straight) and I hope you like how everything looks. I thought I was due for an update. You’ll probably notice that a *lot* of features and content are no longer on the site. I hope you don’t mind. For those of you who never saw the last version, you’ll probably be very happy with the new layout. Things were just starting to get too cluttered; and, I needed to start to make the transition to HTML5 in order to keep the site compliant with new web standards, blah, blah, blah.

Just a couple things to keep in mind: I’m uploading music from my The Fort, the Fire, the Fairs; Glimmer; and Love Said albums over the next few days. Right now, the only music you’ll find directly on this site is my latest record, Fundamental. Everything else on the site should be fully functional. If you find a problem, please let me know. The main idea with this redesign is to make sure that I’m fully utilizing some of the outstanding media websites that are out there today, allowing me to easily connect with new people and share new songs quickly. A few of the big ones, of course, are Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr.
